On July 1st and 2nd, 2021, Warsaw University of Technology organized the international on-line workshop for academic teachers on on-line learning and teaching. The workshop was held as part of the activities of the ENHANCE alliance. The workshop was attended by over 60 participants.
The event consisted of three parts:
Keynote speakers Pauliina Mattila and Aaron Down presented lessons learned in creating engaging and authentic learning experiences in a digital environment.
Afterwards, plenary speakers presented their individual experiences, good practices, and reflections concerning various aspects of education process organization of on-line courses. The speakers were academic teachers representing institutions from the ENHANCE alliance:
Warsaw University of Technology was represented by Prof. Ryszard Robert Gajewski from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Dr Michał Struzik from the Faculty of Physics.
During the closed second part – „coffee table workshop” – invited teachers and students from universities of the ENHANCE alliance discussed possible improvements in remote education. They tried to answer the following questions:
and together work out suggestions for further improvements.
Thanks to the organization of this event, we were able to deepen and tighten the cooperation between partners of the ENHANCE alliance and to conduct a pilot of the online workshop using the coffee table method.
