On April 8-11, 2024, the Heritage Network 2024 General Assembly was held at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) with the participation of member universities from Europe and India. During the assembly, a new HN President was elected. She became Prof. Teresa Zielińska of Warsaw University of Technology, Plenipotentiary of the Rector for Internationalization of Studies in Science and Doctoral Education.

On April 16, 2024, in the Senate Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Center for International Cooperation organized a university seminar on the implementation of modern teaching methods at the Warsaw University of Technology. Modern teaching methods are a strategic goal in the area "Education" in the Development Strategy of Warsaw University of Technology until 2030. 90 people attended the seminar.

On March 13, 2024, a conference on "Partnerships between European and Ukrainian Universities" was held in Strasbourg, organized under the patronage and with the participation of the Vice President of the European Parliament Ewa Kopacz by the University of Strasbourg and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. The opening speech was delivered by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Prof. Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, the Rector of the University of Strasbourg and chairman of the EPICUR consortium Prof. Michel Deneken, and the Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska.

On behalf of the organizers of the workshop "Go and Grow Masterclasses" - OUVC - Venture Capital & Venture Studio, Accelpoint, Insane Business Ideas, Rivne IT Cluster - we invite WUT's students to an international online workshop on startups and innovation. The project is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia under the International Visegrad Fund Grants.

We all have biases. There is nothing wrong with it. Unconscious bias affects everyone. It is important to become aware of own biases. Unconscious bias might lead to discrimination and inequality in some cases when it is not actively managed. This short training will give you the tools that you need. We had already 10 lunch breaks with almost 250 participants in total. 

The next edition of the series initiated by the French Institute entitled "European Dialogues" will take place in Warsaw on March 11 and 12, 2024.

More than 130 representatives of the ten ENHANCE+ partner universities (see FILM) met in Berlin on February 22-23, 2024, to officially inaugurate the new phase of the project. It continues the activities carried out by the Warsaw University of Technology and the partner universities in the ENHANCE project in 2020-2023. The implementation time of ENHANCE+ covers the years 2023-2027.

The next event from the "Polish-German Scientific Encounters" series will be held on March 7, 2024. The guests will be Prof. Dr. Ir. Largus Angenent and prof. Ph.D. engineer Piotr Oleśkowicz-Popiel, who will talk on the topic: "How can biotechnology contribute to convert carbon and make our world greener?".

On February 13, 2024, the staff of the Center for International Cooperation of the Warsaw University of Technology - Magdalena Bobryk, Katarzyna Dyrka, Karol Maśluszczak, Marzena Pobojewska, Zenoviya Shits and Marta Szajnowska-Ksit, deputy director - took part in a training course on legalizing the stay of foreign scientists and students in Poland organized at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The training was conducted by employees of the Department for Foreigners of the Mazovian Provincial Office and the Office for Foreigners

The DAAD scholarship program „ERA Fellowships – Green Hydrogen“ supports German and international Master and PhD students as well as for Postdocs in any topics related to Green Hydrogen.

In the winter semester 2023/2024, three meetings were held as part of the first edition of the Polish-German ‘Sprachcafe’, a project that brought together students from the four technical universities of the ENHANCE consortium: the Technical Universities of Aachen, Berlin, Gdansk and Warsaw.
