International Agreements

Cooperation of Warsaw University of Technology with foreign institutions may be carried out on the basis of the following documents:

- Letter of Intent („LoI”),

- Memorandum of Understanding(„MoU”),

- Agreement of cooperation(„Agreement”).

  • Letter of Intent is a preliminary declaration of intentions of future actions of partners, not binding formally any of the parties. It is an initial regulation of future cooperation, which obliges parties only to undertake actions aiming at realization of terms of the document.
  • Memorandum of Understanding is a document which is more detailed and formal than the Letter of Intent, but at the same time not generating financial, organizational or material commitments. Both parties describe type of cooperation and decide on next steps aiming at its realization.
  • Agreement on cooperation establishes rules of cooperation between partners; it is a commitment of both parties to undertake particular actions. It should be preceded by signing a “LoI” and/or “MoU”. The agreement must specify mutual financial, organizational or material commitments of the parties.

The above-mentioned documents may be signed at a university or faculty level. Documents of more than one WUT Faculty are signed at a university level by the Rector. Those which are signed at faculty level are signed by the Dean who must be given an authorization from the Rector.
