ATHENS Programme session at the Warsaw University of Technology
The inauguration of the autumn session of the ATHENS Programme at WUT took place on 20 November 2023 in the Central Auditorium at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. Courses will run until 25 November 2023.

The inauguration was attended by Prof. Jan Słyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Michał Malinowski, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Prof. Jan Żera, Head of the Electroacoustics Department at the Institute of Radioelectronics and Multimedia Techniques (EiTI), Prof. Tomasz Wiśniewski, from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, and Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Centre for International Cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Anna Smulska from Centre for International Cooperation.

Fifty-seven students from the 10 partner universities of the ATHENS network from Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal came to our University to participate in one of the 2 courses: WUT10 - “Sound: Hearing and Acoustical Measurement” at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, conducted by Prof. Jan Żera, D.Sc., and WUT10 - “Energy Sources, Conversion and Storage” at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, conducted by Prof. Tomasz Wiśniewski, D.Sc.

The session will be attended by 132 students of the Warsaw University of Technology who will participate in courses organised by ATHENS partner universities, also in face-to face mode.
ATHENS is a programme for developing engineering and intercultural competencies of students of European technical universities. The courses are specialisation-based. Currently, 15 universities from 15 countries participate in the programme. In each country, ATHENS sessions are held twice yearly, in March and November. Each session includes:
* 5-day intensive course (30 hours)
* cultural programme, prepared and run at WUT by the Student Self-Government
The next ATHENS session will take place in March 2023.
