Recruitment for the ATHENS programme - March 2025 session - DEADLINE 24.01.2025
Warsaw University of Technology students are invited to apply for the ATHENS programme. The programme lasts for one week and is run at 15 polytechnics across Europe. It consists of a 5-day specialist course (30 hours) and a cultural part. 2-3 ECTS credits can be obtained. Participation in the ATHENS programme is free of charge. Students cover their living expenses on their own.
ENHANCE ‘Winter School in Data Literacy’ at WUT
On December 2, 2024, the inauguration of the stationary part of the ENHANCE "Winter School in Data Literacy – Healthcare Data" took place, organized by the Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Politecnico di Milano within the Erasmus+ program (Blended Intensive Programme). Thanks to funding from the NAWA program "Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities," four students from Ukraine – from Lviv Polytechnic and Kyiv Polytechnic – participated in the Winter School. A total of 25 students from 10 ENHANCE universities participated in the on-site part.
Teachers from Ukraine at the Foreign Language Centre
In November 2024, two study visits to the Study of Foreign Languages at WUT took place. During the first study visit on 4-8.11.2024, the FLC was visited by three English language teachers and two German language teachers from Lviv and Kyiv Polytechnic Universities. The visit was organised as part of the NAWA project ‘Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities’.
WUT for Ukraine - Insights from NAWA projects
Nearly 500 representatives of Kyiv and Lviv Polytechnics, including almost 300 stationary, took part in activities organised by Warsaw University of Technology as part of the NAWA's ‘Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities’ programme.
ENHANCE+ Local Launch Event at WUT
Warsaw University of Technology organised an information meeting about the ENHANCE Alliance on 21 November 2024 at 4 Rektorska Street. The meeting was attended by WUT staff implementing the ENHANCE project at our university and participants from across the university, including pro-deans and students. More than 50 people registered. The meeting was opened by Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Centre for International Cooperation and ENHANCE+ Core Officer, who characterised the most important achievements of WUT in ENHANCE in recent years and discussed current WUT activities in the Alliance.

ATHENS Programme session at the Warsaw University of Technology
The inauguration of the autumn session of the ATHENS Programme at WUT took place on 18 November 2024 in the Central Auditorium at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. Courses will run until 23 November 2024.

Election of Prof. Mariusz Malinowski as Co-Chair of the ENHANCE Board of Directors
On 6 November 2024, during the Board of Directors meeting of the ENHANCE Alliance at Delft University of Technology, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Vice-Rector for Research of the Warsaw University of Technology was elected Co-Chair. Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of the Gdansk University of Technology, was elected as Chair. The Polish board in the ENHANCE Board of Directors is a unique solution in the "European Universities" programme.

The Warsaw University of Technology announces the opening of applications for the February 2025 intake. As a part of its expanding portfolio of international education, the university is now accepting applications for Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs offered in English.

Report from the Delegation to Cambridge
On October 22-24, 2024, a delegation from the Center for International Cooperation participated in the Cambridge Principals Forum meeting in Cambridge. Representatives of the universities were invited to participate in the event designed for Cambridge school principals: University of Cambridge, University of Exeter, IE University from Spain, and Warsaw University of Technology as the only university from Central Europe. PW was represented by CWM Director Grzegorz Robak and International Students Office employee Magdalena Bobryk.
Warsaw University of Technology with NAWA funding for cooperation with Japan
On 30 October 2024, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) announced the results of a call for proposals in a programme conducted in partnership with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) for the promotion of Polish science in the context of the World EXPO 2025 in Japan. Funding was awarded to the Warsaw University of Technology and 14 other Polish universities. The application was prepared and submitted by the Centre for International Cooperation in cooperation with the faculties of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Innovative Didactics Conference at Warsaw University of Technology
On 10-11.10.2024 at the Rektorska 4 Building, Warsaw University of Technology organised the “Innovative Didactics Conference” as part of the activities in the ENHANCE Alliance. Over 150 participants from all ENHANCE universities registered for the conference. Thanks to the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) funding "Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities", 12 academics from Lviv Polytechnic National University and 17 from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute participated in the conference.

ENHANCERIA final event - Summary of project findings and vision for further development
The 26th of September was a big day as we gathered for the final ENHANCERIA event. ENHANCERIA is the Horizon 2020 project supporting the research and innovation dimensions of the ENHANCE Alliance. There were 68 registered participants who attended two plenary sessions and two parallel sessions with four breakout rooms. 25 presentations were listened, there were two workshops and a lot of time for discussions.
