Warsaw University of Technology delegation at the Education Fair in Turkey

From March 9 to 16, 2025, Magdalena Bobryk and Karol Maśluszczak from the Center for International Cooperation participated in the 45th IEFT fair in Turkey. The Warsaw University of Technology’s booth, as part of the Study in Poland delegation, was available in three of Turkey’s largest cities: Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul.

Participation of Welcome Point Staff in the Senate Committee on International Cooperation Meeting

On March 5, 2025, a meeting of the Senate Committee on International Cooperation was held. At the invitation of the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Mariusz Milanowski, Katarzyna Dyrka and Marzena Pobojewska from Welcome Point participated in the session, delivering a presentation titled “Welcome Point – Supporting the International Community at WUT.” The unit operates within the Center for International Cooperation, exclusively serving the international community at WUT, and has been funded since its inception by the IDUB program.

Cambridge International Education Meeting at the Warsaw University of Technology

On March 13, 2025, a meeting was held at the Warsaw University of Technology, bringing together five experts representing Cambridge International Education and representatives from eleven Polish universities. The event aimed to present the opportunities offered by the British education model in the context of recruiting international candidates for higher education. The Warsaw University of Technology hosted the meeting, represented by Grzegorz Robak, Director of the International Cooperation Center.

Meeting of WUT students with EU Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation

On March 10, 2025, the EU Commissioner for Startups, Scientific Research, and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva, met with young people and students in Warsaw to discuss policies concerning the future of cities. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology Student Government and the Smart City PW scientific club.

ATHENS Programme session at the Warsaw University of Technology 2025

Inauguration of the ENHANCE Workshops on Co-creation of Smart City Living Labs at WUT

On 7 March 2025, the inauguration of the Interdisciplinary Design Classes for Students from the ENHANCE Alliance INCLUSIVE INNOVATION CO-CREATION OF SMART CITY LIVING LABS workshop took place. The event was organized by Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH). The course is a 5-day event in Warsaw at WUT on 19-23 May 2025 thanks to NAWA funding with online part in between: 7th March + 21th March and 25th April 2025.

The Stanford SPARK Program for Biomedicine is now available in Poland - APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 20, 2025

The mentoring program developed at Stanford University has arrived in Poland for research teams with ideas for new therapies, potential drugs, vaccines, diagnostic tests, or other medical devices. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has allocated 2.9 million PLN for its implementation. The application deadline is March 20, 2025.

Visit of the State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Research, Development, and Youth of the Slovak Republic at WUT

On February 11, 2025, Róbert Zsembera, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Research, Development, and Youth of the Slovak Republic, visited the Warsaw University of Technology with a delegation consisting of: Martin Cimerman, Deputy Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Poland; Marcel Vysocký, Director General for Higher Education, Internationalization, and Quality of Education; Michal Káčerík, Director General for Strategic Development and Investments in Higher Education; Michal Hajtol, Director of the Minister's Office; and Sandra Gazareková, Head of the Multilateral Cooperation Department.

On January 30-31, 2025, the conference "International Students in Poland 2025" was held at the University of Gdańsk, organized by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, the University of Gdańsk, and the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.

The “Distinguished Star” Award for Prof. Andrzej Kraśniewski

During this year’s “International Students in Poland 2025” conference gala, held on January 30 in Gdańsk, the “Distinguished Star 2025” Award for his lifetime achievements and exceptional contributions to internationalization was presented to Prof. Andrzej Kraśniewski from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology, and longtime Secretary General of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP). The award was accepted on behalf of Prof. Kraśniewski by the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba.
