Say Hello to Germany – the first get-together within the ENHANCE Tandem project On December 20, 2021, the first online get-together Say Hello to Germany within the Language Tandem project was organised. The event was led by Liv Jakbczyk, the DAAD-lektor at Warsaw University of Technology and coorganised by Dorota Chromińska, the proxy for language tandems at the WUT Foreign Language Centre and Joanna Kret, the Language Tandem Coordinator. 30 students from 7 ENHANCE universities took part in the meeting and had the opportunity to expand their knowledge about Germany and integrate with people from the ENHANCE Tandem community.

The Japan-Europe Master on Advanced Robotics (JEMARO) is a 2-year integrated programme (120 ECTS or 30 Japanese Credits). It's goal is to allow students to better understand different perspectives in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (related to both academia and industry) across Europe (France, Italy and Poland) and Japan.

On the 20th of December 2021, the International Students Office held an online meeting for international students. During the meeting, we discussed some formal issues, among others, the recognition of foreign high school leaving certificates, National Health Fund insurance for students, working in Poland and applying for a temporary residence card.

On November 13-20, 2021, the first session of the ATHENS Program was held after the break caused by the pandemics.

On November 5, 2021, Warsaw University of Technology organised an international workshop on the creation of a modular set of training tools for students involved in ENHANCE activities. The workshop was conducted online with the use of IT tools: WebEx and Miro. The event was attended by 13 representatives of six universities that are part of the ENHANCE consortium: students, scientists, academic teachers and administrative staff.

We would like to invite students, doctoral candidates, academics and administrative staff to take part in the Second Language Tandem Kick-Off Meeting. In the Main Hall of the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology you may see the exhibition "CLEANTECH - technology for a green future", presenting innovative solutions of Swiss scientists and entrepreneurs in the field of clean technologies.

On Friday, October 29th, two teams fro Warsaw University of Technology: FiberTeam Photonic Solutions and Chef's, supported by ENHANCE project, will take part in Stage Two competition between university start-ups in Berlin. Stage Two gathers early-stage start-ups pre-selected by university-affiliated entrepreneurship centres during university rounds.

On November 5th, 2021, Warsaw University of Technology organizes the international on-line workshop for academic teachers and students devoted to the creation of a modular set of training tools for students involved in ENHANCE activities. They will be aimed at increasing the participation of students as co-creators of the teaching and learning process. The workshop will be held as part of the activities of the ENHANCE alliance.

The first ENHANCE Staff Week is underway. It is a three-day meeting of the administrative staff from all 7 partner universities involved in the activities of the ENHANCE consortium. The meeting is organized on October 19-21, 2021, at Polytechnic University of Valencia in hybrid mode.

Two weeks of creative work, 33 students from all universities associated in the ENHANCE consortium and joint efforts made in order to define the problems related to climate change – this is a sum-up of the ENHANCE Summer School on Climate Change organized by the Warsaw University of Technology.

Cooperation in the field of exchange of students, doctoral students and researchers was the main topic of the meeting with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland Mr. Malik Muhammad Farooq. Ambassador talked with the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba, Vice Rector for Research Prof. Mariusz Malinowski and Director of the Center for International Cooperation Grzegorz Robak.

On the 22^nd of June 2021, Mr Mohamed Elsayed, international student – the ambassador of Warsaw University of Technology, handed prizes to 4 winners of the quiz about Saudi Arabia organized as part of the event The Floor is Yours – Saudi Arabia National Day. The event was organized by the Centre for International Cooperation on the 28^th of May 2021. 

The European University Association (EUA) announces an opening for Deputy Director of Institutional Development.

TU Berlin offers virtual course "Intercultural Basic Qualification" to students of ENHANCE universities. The course is an one-week block seminar and starts on 13 September.

We invite employees, doctoral students and students of the Warsaw University of Technology to participate the first public discussion organized by the ENHANCE Alliance “ENHANCE Conversations - Covid Recovery: The role of European Universities of Technology in setting the path to a sustainable future post-covid”. The event will take place online on June 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
