CWM Director's participation in the "Partnerships between European and Ukrainian Universities" conference in Strasbourg.

On March 13, 2024, a conference on "Partnerships between European and Ukrainian Universities" was held in Strasbourg, organized under the patronage and with the participation of the Vice President of the European Parliament Ewa Kopacz by the University of Strasbourg and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. The opening speech was delivered by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Prof. Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, the Rector of the University of Strasbourg and chairman of the EPICUR consortium Prof. Michel Deneken, and the Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska.

The initiator of the meeting was Prof. Rafal Witkowski, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. Representatives of 5 consortia of "European Universities", including Prof. Dr. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, Pro-rector for International Cooperation of the University of Gdansk, presented their experience in cooperation with Ukrainian universities. Invited representatives of the European Commission answered questions about systemic support for Ukrainian universities.

Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Center for International Cooperation (CWM) at Warsaw University of Technology, presented the activities of the ENHANCE+ Alliance in supporting Ukrainian universities. Warsaw University of Technology manages the Task Force Ukraine think tank in the ENHANCE Alliance. Its leader is Dr. Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda from the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences. The CWM Director presented the Warsaw University of Technology's past and planned activities in the two editions of NAWA's "Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities" program. They concern academic cooperation with Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University as associated partners of the ENHANCE Alliance. In the first edition of this NAWA program in 2023, 122 representatives of the academic community of Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University came to Warsaw University of Technology. They participated in scientific conferences, summer and winter schools, workshops and study visits prepared by the faculties of WUT and it’s Foreign Language Center.
