Innovative Didactics Conference at Warsaw University of Technology
On 10-11.10.2024 at the Rektorska 4 Building, Warsaw University of Technology organised the “Innovative Didactics Conference” as part of the activities in the ENHANCE Alliance. Over 150 participants from all ENHANCE universities registered for the conference. Thanks to the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) funding "Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities", 12 academics from Lviv Polytechnic National University and 17 from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute participated in the conference.

The conference was opened by: Prof. Jan Słyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at WUT and ENHANCE Steering Committee Member, Piotr Kępski, PhD, Director of Programmes for Institutions at NAWA - Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, Naveed Syed, Secretary General in ENHANCE, Prof. Zoia Korneva, Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Prof. Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations at Lviv Polytechnic National University, Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda, PhD, ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine Leader. The opening presentation on micro-credentials was given by Prof. Andrzej Kraśniewski, leader of the “New Formats and Frameworks” working group at ENHANCE.
The conference aimed to discuss innovative didactics methods at European technical universities in the context of future skills.

During the conference, we organised three panel discussions:
- Panel 1 “New technologies and social media in education in the view of the future skills”, moderator: Jakub Możaryn, PhD (WUT)
- Panel 2 “Innovative methods - PBL, COIL, hybrid provision, tandems,...”, moderator: Oksana Polyakova-Nesterenko, PhD (Universitat Politècnica de València)
- Panel 3 “ Future changes and challenges ”, moderator: Rafał Wróblewski, PhD (WUT)

In addition to the panels, we held three workshops:
- “Social impact of new technologies,” which was led by Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda, PhD, Michał Pręgowski, PhD and Mateusz Kaska - all from WUT
- “Project Based Learning, Design Thinking, Collaborative Blended International Learning,” which was led by Piotr Palka, PhD (WUT)
- “Cooperation with Ukraine” with guests from Ukraine, which was led by Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda, PhD (WUT), Anna Smulska (WUT), Agnieszka Zielińska (TU Berlin) and Mariia Svyrydenko (ETH Zurich).

An essential part of the conference was the meetings of the ENHANCE “New Formats and Frameworks” working group, whose leader is Prof. Andrzej Kraśniewski (Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology), and the meeting of the coordinators of language tandems in ENHANCE, which was organised and chaired by Dorota Chromińska, MA, Foreign Language Centre of WUT Proxy for cooperation with ENHANCE and Centre for International Cooperation and the ENHANCE language tandems coordinator.

The conference was prepared by a team consisting of Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Center for International Cooperation at WUT, Dorota Chrominska, MA, Foreign Language Centre of WUT Proxy for cooperation with ENHANCE and Centre for International Cooperation and the ENHANCE language tandems coordinator, Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda, PhD (Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences at WUT), leader of the ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine, Anna Smulska, MA (CWM), Piotr Szczepański, MA (CWM) in cooperation with the moderators of meetings, panel discussions and workshops.
