Italian language course for students of the Warsaw University of Technology
In the summer semester 2023/2024, the Foreign Language Center of the Warsaw University of Technology, in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano, organised a design course in Italian for WUT’s students entitled 'Italian with Architecture/Contemporary Architecture Projects of Milan'. The course programme was developed by Magda Turowska and preceded by a study visit to the Politecnico di Milano, part of the ENHANCE Alliance.

The innovative language project aims to develop student's knowledge of Italian, which is helpful in the professional practice of an architect. The class broadened skills in using architectural vocabulary by working on a project on contemporary Milanese architecture and improved presentation skills in Italian and teamwork. The course was enriched with the vocabulary needed for studying at an Italian university, and a visit to the class was made by a student from the Politecnico di Milano staying on an Erasmus scholarship at the Warsaw University of Technology, who shared his experiences of studying in Italy.
The project's coordinators are Dorota Chromińska and Magda Turowska from the Foreign Language Center at WUT.
Another course edition is planned for the winter term 2024/2025.
