Meeting of WUT students with EU Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation

On March 10, 2025, the EU Commissioner for Startups, Scientific Research, and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva, met with young people and students in Warsaw to discuss policies concerning the future of cities. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology Student Government and the Smart City PW scientific club.

The main goal of the meeting was to actively engage young people in shaping the cities of the future.

Our students discussed with the Commissioner how cities can become more eco-friendly and resilient to climate change, the role of digital technologies and smart infrastructure in this process, and how to create inclusive spaces for diverse social groups. They also actively participated in discussions on:

  • Environment and sustainable development
  • Technology and innovation
  • Inclusivity and accessibility in cities
