Meeting with the Delegation of Aalborg University at WUT
On 29 January 2026, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Vice-Rector for Research, together with representatives of the academic staff—Prof. Tomasz Starecki, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology; Prof. Jacek Rąbkowski, Director of the Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics (Faculty of Electrical Engineering); Prof. Wojciech Bujalski and Prof. Jan Kindracki from the Institute of Heat Engineering, Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering; as well as Patrycja Kluź from the Centre for International Cooperation of WUT—met with a delegation from Aalborg University (Denmark).

The event was an important element of activities aimed at developing international cooperation at the Warsaw University of Technology.
The Danish side was represented by Mr Tom Elvius-Brisson, Defence Attaché of the Royal Danish Embassy in Poland, while the Aalborg University delegation was headed by Prof. Per Michael Johansen, Rector of the University. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Mikael B. Skov, Vice-Dean for Research at the Technical Faculty of IT and Design, and Ms Solbjørk Finnsdottir, representative of the Rector’s Office.
During the meeting, the research potential and educational offer of Warsaw University of Technology were presented, as were the profile and experience of Aalborg University, with particular emphasis on innovative teaching methods and on cooperation with the socio-economic environment. A key part of the programme was a substantive discussion of opportunities to initiate and develop cooperation, including the implementation of joint research projects, student and academic staff mobility, and initiatives in modern technologies, energy, and engineering.
The meeting concluded with a tour of the Warsaw University of Technology campus, during which the guests became acquainted with the University’s teaching and research infrastructure.
The visit by representatives of Aalborg University confirmed mutual interest in strengthening academic relations and laid a solid foundation for further activities to develop strategic cooperation between the two universities.
