Meeting with the Delegation of the Chinese Embassy at WUT
On April 24, 2025, the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, DSc, Eng., hosted a delegation from the Embassy of China in Warsaw. The delegation included Mr. Tian Zhong, Consul for Science and Technology, Second Secretary Mr. Duan Dejun, and Second Secretary Ms. Li Lin. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the new Consul, Mr. Tian Zhong, who assumed his position in March this year, to the Warsaw University of Technology.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology: Prof. Konrad Lewczuk, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Transport and Chair of the Senate Committee for International Cooperation; Prof. Robert Nowak, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Computer Science, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology and Director of the Shanghai-Warsaw AI Scientific Joint Lab; Ms. Marta Szajnowska-Ksit, Deputy Director of the Centre for International Cooperation; and Ms. Patrycja Kluź.

During the meeting, the Vice-Rector for Research presented an overview of the university, highlighting its scientific potential, while the Deputy Director of the Centre for International Cooperation discussed the existing cooperation between WUT and Chinese institutions. The discussions covered prospects for expanding collaboration with leading Chinese universities and its organization, potential sources of funding for research and mobility, as well as university–industry cooperation. The Embassy of China expressed its active support for cooperation programs between Polish and Chinese universities, and its efforts to establish contacts with institutions such as the National Agency for Academic Exchange and the National Centre for Research and Development.

After the official meeting, the Embassy representatives visited the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at WUT, accompanied by Prof. Robert Nowak.
