Participants in the 2nd edition of SEI's summer school in Gothenburg.
The SEI summer school consisted of three parts:
- From June 15 to August 18, online - tutors introduced students to the summer school topics and divided them into groups,
- From August 21-25 - on-site activities were held at the campus of Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg: workshops, teamwork and lectures,
- From August 28-29 - students completed a final assignment (this could be a website, written work, film, podcast, Instagram page, Twitter thread, practical guide, etc.).
The goal of the SEI summer school was to introduce participants to key issues related to sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation and the connections between them.
"Participating in the Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation summer school was a great experience! The program included three months of project work and a week-long session of live meetings in Gothenburg, Sweden. During the lectures, I saw how entrepreneurs deal with sustainability challenges and their path to success. In addition, I met many fantastic people on-site, toured the beautiful city of Goteborg and saw how Chalmers University operates. It was time well spent; I definitely recommend it!" - said Karolina Kasperek, a Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering student at WUT.
"The summer school in Sweden was a fantastic experience. It was held in the beautiful city of Gothenburg and focused on innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship. It was an educational event and a great opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in an inspiring environment. During the workshop, we had the opportunity to meet interesting people from other countries, (...) numerous practical workshops and lectures from experts in various fields enabled us to gain practical skills and a different perspective on contemporary challenges related to the workshop topics. I definitely recommend it!" - Joanna Tokarska, a Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology student, praises.
"The amount of knowledge we received was really high. The preparation for the summer school was also demanding. The participants were actively involved in setting up the workshops and giving presentations. The invited guests were a broad cross-section of lecturers and entrepreneurs with a cutting-edge approach and many years of experience, so you could learn a lot from them and combine theory and practice. The whole summer school was well organised (...), there was time for activities outside the university (...). The Scandinavian culture itself, the city of Goteborg and Chalmers University were worth seeing and experiencing (...). A huge plus of the summer school was the participation of participants from abroad. Committed and open to contact with other nationalities, they are a great resource to use in the future." - said Wojciech Piątkiewicz, a doctoral student at the Doctoral School at WUT.
