The discussion was moderated by Dr Izabela Zawiska, Director of the International Relations Centre at Jagiellonian University. In addition to the WUT representative, the panel featured Edyta Gałecka from the University of Economics in Katowice, Ewa Kiszka from the Medical University of Gdańsk, and Dr Tomasz Maliszewski from the Medical University of Białystok.

The discussion provided an opportunity to explore how short-term academic mobility can support the development of skills among students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff, while also contributing to the growth of international cooperation between universities and research institutes.

The conference was held in the context of the results achieved by the PROM NAWA programme, which supports short-term scholarship exchanges with foreign academic and scientific institutions. In the two most recent calls for applications, 51 higher education institutions received funding, and more than 3,000 people took part in short-term educational activities. Since the programme was launched in 2018, more than 8,000 participants have taken part in the exchanges.
