Report on participation in Education and Career fair, Belarus 2016

Between 13th and 15th  February 2016, Ms Zenoviya Shits from the Centre for International Cooperation represented the Warsaw University of Technology at the international education fair ‘Education end Career’ in Minsk at a joint stand with ‘Study in Poland’.

The annual education fair held in Minsk is the biggest event of the year, which attracts more and more young people thinking about studying abroad. It was noted a record number of visitors in the last three years. A rich offer of WUT education programmes and an unique opportunity to study without tuition fee (based on competition) attracts each year an increasing number of candidates from Belarus, definitely one of the largest group of foreign students.

The stand of Polish universities was visited by the Consul of Poland in Minsk. The Polish representatives took part in a meeting with people of polish origin living in Belarus.

Promotion and information activities of our university in the Belarussian market were not confined to participate in education fair, but also included meetings with pupils and students in Gomel, the second-largest city in Belarus. Ms  Zenoviya Shits met students at National Technical University and National University named after Skoriny, as well as pupils of mathematical lyceum in Gomel interested in studying at WUT and in participation on summer language courses organised by our University.
