The Indian Ambassador to Poland visited our University on September 21st, 2022. The Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology and the Ambassador mainly discussed about the exchange of students and academics. They also agreed that in November, the Indian Embassy, in collaboration with the WUT Centre for International Cooperation, will organise a meeting with the participation of the Ambassador and the Indian community of our University.

And this community is very large and active at the Warsaw University of Technology. In the last academic year, it comprised 223 students, 18 PhD students and 12 staff members. Students from India are the largest group among the WUT Student Ambassadors, who promote our University among international candidates and help new students during their first days in Warsaw. They are also keen to get involved in other initiatives: language tandems run by Warsaw University of Technology as part of the ENHANCE consortium, social media campaigns supporting mobility and competitions. In May, 2 of our students from India won the ENHANCE Challenge competition for their idea of a chatbot integrated into the IT infrastructure of the consortium's universities and their 'Freeroom' project to provide the administration with up-to-date information about vacant rooms at the university. The competition featured international teams made up of ENHANCE university students.

The meeting between the Ambassador and our Rector was also attended by the Embassy's Second Secretary for Consular and Cultural Affairs Krishnendu Banerjee, and the Director of the WUT Centre for International Cooperation Grzegorz Robak.
