Visit of the delegation from Brunei Darussalam

On 9th September 2015, delegation of Brunei Economic Development board (governmental agency from Brunei responsible for promotion of investments and economic cooperation with entrepreneurs) paid a visit to Warsaw University of Technology.

Among members of the delegation were also representatives of Soartech Systems – innovative engineering company and University Brunei Darussalam. Soartech Systems, cooperating with Institute of Electronic Materials Technology, is interested in participation in research works in the scope of development and production of graphene and other nanomaterials 2D.

Guests were particularly interested in activity of WUT’s Platform of Graphene Applications, as well as activity of CEZAMAT consortium and potential possibilities of cooperation in the area of research in CEZAMAT’s laboratories. Representatives of University Brunei Darussalam expressed their willingness to establish a bilateral cooperation with WUT, including student and staff exchange. After the meeting with Professor Rajmund Bacewicz, the delegation visited laboratories of the Faculty of Physics.

Brunei Darussalam, located in the northern part of Borneo (South-Eastern Asia) is one of the richest countries in the world having high standard of life and stable political and economic situation. The country which owns immense oil and gas fields, is focusing on developing a modern and balanced economy based on innovative technologies and high standard of education.
