WUT hosted PANTHER project kick-off meeting
On 11th and 12th February 2015, Warsaw University of Tecghnology hosted a kick-off meeting of a new project called PANTHER (Pacific Atlantic Network for Technical Higher Education and Research). The purpose of the meeting was to make the necessary arrangements for the commence of the project.
The participants of the meeting included representatives of all the universities which form the project’s consortium. The guests were welcomed by the WUT’s Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Rajmund Bacewicz.
PANTHER is a common initiative of European Union, Australian and New Zealand’s technical universities for research and education development, in the framework of Erasmus Mundus Action 2. The consortium carrying out the project consists of 8 partners:
- Warsaw University of Technology, the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (Poland) – coordinator
- Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary)
- Dublin University of Technology (Ireland)
- Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France)
- The University of the Basque Country (Spain)
- University of New South Wales (Australia)
- Griffith University (Australia)
- Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand).
The project enables exchanges for 1-36 months, depending on the mobility type, and is dedicated to post-graduate students, post-doctoral researches and educational staff. Scholarships are awarded for living, travel and insurance expenses.
