WUT students in four winning teams of the ENHANCE Challenge competition

The Warsaw University of Technology students: Maja Luc, Agnieszka Gados, Rajat Dogra and Tanmay Parshottambhai Engineer, has won together with their teams the ENHANCE Challenge competition organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. A total of 6 international student teams were awarded, each of which will receive a cash prize of up to 35,000 EUR and the opportunity to participate in an idea incubation program in the form of a two-day training course at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim or the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

The competition teams, which combined students and employees from different partner universities of the ENHANCE consortium, has worked on elaborating the best ideas concerning 2 challenges:

- Challenge 1: Increasing diversity and inclusion of students with fewer opportunities (people with disabilities, people from disadvantaged social and economic backgrounds etc.),

- Challenge 2: Using innovative artificial intelligence solutions in the work of university administration.

Maja Luc, a student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, has worked together with representatives of the Polytechnic University of Valencia on idea awarded in the Challenge 1 category. It concerned a platform with tools and projects that can be used to facilitate students with disabilities learning and usage of the infrastructure of their university.

Agnieszka Gados, a student at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology, and students from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Milan University of Technology elaborated the idea of SWARM AI project supporting the university recruitment process. The idea was awarded in the Challenge 2 category.

Rajat Dogra, a student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, and representatives of the Valencia University of Technology and TU Berlin developed the Challenge 1-winning idea of a chatbot integrated with the IT infrastructure of the consortium's universities.

Tanmay Parshottambhai Engineer, a student at the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, and representatives of the Milan Polytechnic University proposed the concept of Freeroom - a project aimed at providing the administration with up-to-date information about available rooms and spaces at the university. The idea was among the winners in the Challenge 2 category.

The final of the ENHANCE Challenge took place on May 24, 2022 at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
