Warsaw University of Technology with NAWA funding for cooperation with Japan
On 30 October 2024, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) announced the results of a call for proposals in a programme conducted in partnership with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) for the promotion of Polish science in the context of the World EXPO 2025 in Japan. Funding was awarded to the Warsaw University of Technology and 14 other Polish universities. The application was prepared and submitted by the Centre for International Cooperation in cooperation with the faculties of the Warsaw University of Technology.
Thanks to NAWA funding, we will hold the Warsaw University of Technology Days at Keio University in Tokyo. Representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology will organise for the academic community of Keio University and representatives of other Japanese universities, among others, workshops on robotics and artificial intelligence and meetings promoting the scientific, teaching and cultural offer of the Warsaw University of Technology. Specially prepared brochures about Warsaw University of Technology in Japanese and English will be used in the promotion.
A prerequisite for submitting an application was to have proven experience in scientific cooperation with entities from Japan. We have cooperation with Keio University, Shizuoka University, Okayama University, Waseda University, Magnesium Research Centre, Kumamoto University.
The NAWA EXPO Direction programme will run from 15 January 2025 to 31 October 2025.
