Vice-Rector Malinowski’s Participation in the 2nd Poland–Türkiye Rectors’ Forum

On 8 May 2026, the 2nd Poland–Türkiye Rectors’ Forum took place at the University of Gdańsk. The event was dedicated to strengthening academic, scientific, and institutional cooperation between universities from both countries. Representatives of university authorities from Poland and Türkiye participated in the forum. The program included discussions on the development of joint research projects, academic mobility, and the establishment of long-term inter-university partnerships.

Warsaw University of Technology was represented by Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Vice-Rector for Research. During the event, Vice-Rector Malinowski signed a letter of intent with Istanbul Technical University. The document opens up new opportunities for cooperation between the universities, particularly in the areas of scientific research, academic exchange, and the implementation of joint educational initiatives.

The 2nd Poland–Türkiye Rectors’ Forum continued the dialogue initiated during the first meeting, which took place in September 2025 in Ankara. This year’s edition brought together 150 participants from 79 institutions responsible for the development of higher education and science in both countries.

The event was organised by: the University of Gdańsk, the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK), the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP) and the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.

The partners of the Forum are the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE).
