Report on participation in EDUTRAC, Oman 2015

Between 12th and 14th October 2015, a representative of Centre for International Cooperation Mr. Karol Maśluszczak participated in educational fairs organized EDUTRAC every year in Muscat, capital of Oman.

Over the past few years, our University has become very active in the region of Arab countries. Oman is one of the destinations which the Centre for International Cooperation prioritises for recruitment actions. Since 2012 we also cooperate with the Ministry of Higher Education, which enlisted our university as one of the destinations for students benefiting from a government scholarship. Currently, at WUT there are more than 40 students from Oman.

EDUTRAC is one of the largest and most popular educational events for high school graduates. Just this year more than 150 universities and educational institutions attended the fairs. Warsaw University of Technology was the only Polish university present at EDUTRAC.

Students from Arab countries in the region are very interested in studying abroad. Through various scholarships and government funds, many students can pursue their educational plans almost anywhere in the world, hence our presence there is very important.

EDUTRAC exhibition gave us the chance to present the idea of studying at Warsaw University of Technology and Poland closer to local candidates. The facts that our public university is the best technical institution, providing solid education and a low cost of studying and living in Poland, were definitely an asset, making Warsaw University of Technology very interesting to many visitors.
