On 15-18 of April, 2015, representative of Centre for International Cooperation of Warsaw University of Technology, Mr Karol Maśluszczak, participated in International Exhibition & Conference on Higher Education in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
IECHE fairs are aimed at students from Arab countries interested in studying abroad. There were more than 450 universities from 32 different countries. Poland was represented by Ready-Go-Poland program funded by Ministry of Higher Education. The delegation from our country consisted of representatives of University of Adam Mickiewicz, Medical University of Gdańsk and Warsaw University of Technology.
Since 2010, thanks to activity of Centre for International Cooperation, Warsaw University of Technology cooperates with Ministry of Higher Education of Saudi Arabia. Thanks to this, we are enlisted as one of destinations for Saudi government scholarship programme. During the fairs, Mr Karol Maśluszczak met dr Abdulrahman Alhumedhi, the director of scholarship programme, responsible for cooperation with Poland and gave presentation about Poland and our University.
IECHE fairs were a big success, with more than the majority of candidates inquiring about WUT’s offer were interested in graduate studies, which is a new trend. Stand of Poland, including our University, was very popular among visitors, mostly due to the fact that we are located in European Union, while offering high quality of teaching for reasonable prices. We came back with a long list of new candidates whishing to pursue studies at Warsaw University of Technology.
