Call for Applications: Fulbright Specialist Program 2026–27

Applications describing the proposed project may be submitted by institutions willing to host a Specialist to conduct or participate in, among other activities: lectures, seminars and workshops, symposia, conferences, consultations on curriculum development and administrative/staff development, project evaluations and expert assessments, or the development of local programs and/or research initiatives.

Fulbright Specialists receive an honorarium and coverage of international travel costs to and from Poland. The host institution is responsible for covering the Specialist’s in-country expenses related to accommodation, meals, and domestic travel.

In this year’s competition, the scope of visits has been expanded to include additional activities aligned with the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. Examples of such activities may include public lectures related to the project topic addressed to a broader audience, or informational and educational initiatives highlighting selected aspects of American history or culture.

The current call accepts applications for visits planned in Poland between September 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027.

To participate in the competition, a representative of the host institution must submit an electronic application by January 9, 2026.
