The same day, on June 20th, Prof. Krzysztof Lewenstein, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, held a meeting with a delegation from Shenyang Ligong University of Liaoning province and representatives of Polish-Chinese Education Foundation. The visit was aimed at introducing WUT to a programme of Chinese Ministry of Education called “Cooperative Education Project”. Main task of this programme is to support educational offer of Chinese universities through joint engineering studies with leading universities of the world in order to boost international competences of students from China. According to this model, Chinese students leave their home universities after 2 years of studies and go to a foreign university for the remaining part of studies. Additionally, during the first 2 years, part of the study programme is taught by international lecturers from partner institutions. Representatives of WUT Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, Faculty of Electronics and information Technology and Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering expressed their preliminary interest in participation in this scheme.
