Inauguration of the ENHANCE “Summer School in Data Literacy: Students’ Drop-out” at WUT
On 22 June 2026, the inauguration of the on-site part of the ENHANCE ‘Summer School in Data Literacy: students' drop-out’, took place at the building located at 4 Rektorska Street. The summer school was organized by the Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Milan. Thanks to funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), 25 students from ENHANCE partner universities are participating in the summer school.
The inauguration was attended by Dr. Eng. Piotr Pałka and Dr. Eng. Muhammad Farhan Safdar from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Dr. Grzegorz Ganczewski, Head of the ENHANCE+ project at the Development Projects Centre (CPR), Dr. Julien Philippe Maheut from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and Piotr Szczepański from the Centre for International Coperation.
During the on-site sessions in Warsaw, participants:
- worked in international teams,
- carried out a project based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach,
- became familiar with data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and Python tools,
- benefited from academic consultations with experts,
- and presented the outcomes of their work before an evaluation committee.
The ENHANCE Summer School in Data Literacy: Students' Drop-out is one of the modules comprising the micro-programme “Certificate in Data Literacy.” The programme was conducted online from 8–12 June 2026 (Block 1) and 15–19 June 2026 (Block 2), followed by on-site sessions in Warsaw from 22–26 June 2026 (Block 3). The final part of the summer school will be delivered online from 29 June to 3 July 2026 (Block 4).
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded 4 ECTS credits.
The summer school is funded under the NAWA programme “ENHANCER+ – Support for Short-Term Educational Activities for Students and Staff of Warsaw University of Technology in the International ENHANCE Alliance Environment.”
