Meeting with the Delegation from Pohang University of Science & Technology (POSTECH), South Korea

On April 28, 2025, at the Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Vice-Rector for Research, met with representatives from Pohang University of Science & Technology (POSTECH), Republic of Korea. The Korean university was represented by Dr. Seong Keun Kim, President of POSTECH, Prof. Sung Min Park, Vice-President for External Affairs, and members of the International Relations Office – Mr. Junki Ahn and Ms. Yujin Kim.

On behalf of the Warsaw University of Technology, the meeting was also attended by Prof. Konrad Lewczuk, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Transport and Chair of the Senate Committee for International Cooperation, and Ms. Marta Szajnowska-Ksit, Deputy Director of the Centre for International Cooperation at WUT, and Ms. Patrycja Kluź.

The meeting began with welcome speeches from both parties, followed by presentations of the academic profiles and achievements of both universities. The key part of the event was a discussion on potential areas of cooperation, including joint research projects, academic staff and student exchange.

POSTECH is a young private university, established in 1986, which ranks second in the Times Higher Education ranking in the category of small universities. Its impressive research facilities and infrastructure, strong collaboration with industry, as well as a profile similar to that of the Warsaw University of Technology, offer many opportunities for cooperation.
