Meeting with the Delegation from the University of Ulsan, Republic of Korea
On September 15, 2025, at the Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Jan Słyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, met with representatives of the University of Ulsan from the Republic of Korea. The Korean university was represented by Dr. Chiwoon Cho, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Mr. Wonkyo Jung, Director of the Office of International Affairs.

The University of Ulsan in South Korea is a young institution, founded in 1970. It is located in the city of Ulsan, in central Korea – one of the country’s industrial hubs. The university consists of 12 faculties and is distinguished by its active cooperation with industry.

The Warsaw University of Technology was represented at the meeting by: Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Prof. Tomasz Starecki; Vice-Dean for for Academic Affairs, Dr. Piotr Firek; Dean’s Proxy for International Student Exchange, Dr. Dariusz Turlej; Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Architecture, Dr. Anita Orchowska; Dean’s Proxy for International Affairs and Student Exchange of the Faculty of Architecture, Dr. Judyta Wesołowska; Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering, Prof. Maciej Pilarek; Vice-Dean for Studies, Dr. Jan Krzysztoforski; Director of the Centre for International Cooperation, Grzegorz Robak; as well as Patrycja Kluź and Joanna Gołębiowska from the Centre for International Cooperation.
The meeting began with presentations from both universities. The main topics of discussion were past and future cooperation in the areas of student and staff exchanges, teaching, and scientific research. The participants also discussed the possibility of expanding collaboration in the fields of electronics and information technology, architecture, as well as chemical and process engineering.
