North China Electric Power University pays visit to Warsaw University of Technology

On 14 October 2016 Warsaw University of Technology hosted a delegation from North China Electric Power University chaired by the President of the university Prof. Liu Jizhen.

NCEPU is one of the leading universities in China, specializing in the areas of power engineering, renewable energy and automation. The university has two campuses located in Beijing and Baoding. It is also a member of the government program "Project 211" - bringing together 106 Chinese research universities crucial for the development of the Chinese economy. Research potential and the position of NCEPU makes it a desirable partner for the Warsaw University of Technology.

NCEPU’s delegation was hosted by Prof. Krzysztof Lewenstein, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and visited two Faculties that could be potential partners with WUT - Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The existing areas of common interest in the field of scientific, research cooperation, educational and organisational cooperation was discussed in details.

Preliminary findings relate to signing a letter of intent to start student exchange as well as launching the preparation of joint programs in the field of power engineering, electrical engineering and automation and robotics. The talks also concerned the possibility of obtaining fundings for joint research projects.
