The course program was developed by Natalia Janota, a Foreign Language Centre lecturer who also taught the course. It was focused on practical skills valuable to doctoral students in their future academic careers. It included developing communication strategies in academic discussions, improving presentation and public speaking skills, and developing communication skills when speaking at scientific conferences. The participants also honed their pronunciation and participated in an Oxford debate on unpaid women's labour.

"The course program was prepared specifically to meet the needs of the participants. I think it allowed them to develop their active knowledge of the language. All the students were very much involved in the course and actively participated in it. They also tried to use English all the time, not only during classes but also during breaks. I hope they will leave Warsaw richer with several new skills," says Natalia Janota, the course trainer.

In addition to the learning, the trainees also had the opportunity to see Warsaw. On Monday, the course participants took part in a walking tour of the WUT Main Campus and the surrounding area. Their guide was Dorota Chrominska, who showed them architecturally exciting buildings on Koszykowa Street (Koszyki Hall and Nobu Hotel). On Thursday evening, all the students, the coordinator, and the lecturer went to a restaurant and for a walk on the Royal Route. It was an opportunity for a casual conversation in English and to take some photos under the Presidential Palace and the Royal Castle, among others.

Upon course completion, the participants received certificates and gifts from the Center for International Cooperation.

The course coordinator was Dorota Chromińska from the Foreign Language Centre. Patrycja Kluź from the Center for International Cooperation handled administrative support.
