The 11th edition of the "European Young Engineers Conference (EYEC)" at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology

On April 17-19, 2023, the inauguration of the “European Young Engineers Conference (EYEC)”  took place. The conference was organised by the Scientific Club of Chemical and Process Engineering “Venturi” with the organisational and financial support of the Faculty. The EYEC is intended for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. This year 15 students from Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University participated  thanks to NAWA's financial support. The Center for International Cooperation submitted the application for funding within the framework of the "Solidarity with Ukraine" - European Universities program.

The conference aims to give participants an opportunity to present their research results in chemical and process engineering and related fields and to integrate the community of young scientists. This is a regular event that has been held at our University for 11 years.

In the opening lecture, Prof. Sotiris E. Pratsinis of ETH Zurich encouraged students to take scientific risks and push the boundaries of their scientific discipline.

Prof. Tomasz Sosnowski, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering, greeted participants with the following words: The European Young Engineers Conference (EYEC) provides an excellent opportunity for young scientists to present their research results in a broader forum. The interdisciplinarity of the conference and the international environment are conducive to broadening the scientific horizons of young EYEC participants. I am sure that the next crop of students active in the Scientific Club will continue to organise the conference.

The event was accompanied by a poster session in which Maryna Kantur, a student at Kyiv Polytechnic University, was the winner. Read more about the results of the poster session and prizes for EYEC participants: HERE.

Organizers invite you to the 12th EYEC, which will take place in April 2024. We kindly encourage you to follow the news on the Conference website and Facebook page.
