Visit of the Parliamentary State Secretary from the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space to Warsaw University of Technology
On 1 July 2026, Warsaw University of Technology welcomed a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space of the Federal Republic of Germany, headed by Dr Silke Launert, Parliamentary State Secretary.

The visit began with a meeting with Prof. Robert Zalewski, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at Warsaw University of Technology. The discussions focused on the University's scientific and educational potential, and opportunities for further strengthening Polish-German cooperation.

The delegation then toured the Main Building of Warsaw University of Technology. The next item on the programme was a visit to the Centre for Credible AI (https://credibleai.github.io/). Prof. Przemysław Biecek, Director of the Centre, presented its activities, ongoing research projects, and the Centre's strategic directions in artificial intelligence research. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the role of trustworthy artificial intelligence.

The German delegation also included Verena Kölsch from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space and Dr Monika Schidorowitz, Head of the Science and Research Department at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Poland.
Representing Warsaw University of Technology, Grzegorz Robak, Director of the International Relations Office, participated in the meetings and guided the delegation through the University's Main Building.
The visit was coordinated by the Centre for International Cooperation.
