On September 15, 2022, in the Small Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology took place the nationwide final of the FALLING WALLS LAB WARSAW competition. The competition was organized by the 'pro science' company with the participation of the Center for International Cooperation. The Warsaw University of Technology hosted the finals, and one of the substantive partners was the ENHANCE consortium.

On 9 September, a ceremony was held in the Senate Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology to award diplomas of completion of the international Master of Science Programme in Euro Hydroinformatics and Water Management (EuroAquae+). Graduates received their diplomas from the Dean of the Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering, Paweł Popielski, and representatives of partner universities.

We would like to inform that registration for ATHENS November 2022 Session will be open between September 17th and October 4th, 2022.

The chance to develop an idea for a technological solution, the opportunity to make and present a prototype of one's own device in front of experts, winning mentors support, facing the challenges resulting from the climate change or proving, that girls can achieve success in science - these are the reasons why secondary school female students from Spain, Italy, Sweden and Poland decided to take part in the ENHANCE Girls in STEM competition. The finalists encourage to participate in future editions of the event.

We would like to invite research and didactic employees, doctoral candidates and students of the Warsaw University of Technology to participate in the prestigious competition which aims at promoting exceptional scientific ideas and at connecting the academic and business fields.

HE Mr. Cengiz Kamil Firat, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Poland, visited the Warsaw University of Technology on 21 June 2022. The main topics raised during the meeting with Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba, Rector of WUT, were the exchange of students and research and teaching staff from both countries as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation to new areas.

The ENHANCE Girls in STEM competition for girls aged 16-19 from Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden and Poland has been concluded. The aim of the competition is to encourage girls to study science and technology. The participants were asked to present in the form of short films their ideas on how to solve local environmental problems that may have a global dimension, such as overconsumption of natural resources or climate change.

The Warsaw University of Technology students: Maja Luc, Agnieszka Gados, Rajat Dogra and Tanmay Parshottambhai Engineer, has won together with their teams the ENHANCE Challenge competition organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. A total of 6 international student teams were awarded, each of which will receive a cash prize of up to 35,000 EUR and the opportunity to participate in an idea incubation program in the form of a two-day training course at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim or the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Discussing the cooperation of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) with the CESAER association, summarizing the activities of CESAER task forces, in which 9. employees of our university are involved, and identifying the main challenges for the coming years - these key topics were raised during the meeting of the Secretary General of the CESAER association, David Bohmert, with the vice-rectors and employees of the Warsaw University of Technology. The visit took place on 31 May 2022.

14 secondary school female students from Spain, Italy, Sweden and Poland have qualified to the final stage of the ENHANCE competition. The ENHANCE GIRLS IN STEM finals will take place on June 7, 2022 in Warsaw during the "Perspectives Women in Tech Summit 2022" conference - the largest event in Europe for women in the field of IT, technology and science.

We invite students to take part in the International Summer Schools carried out by the Warsaw University of Technology.  

On April 26-28, 2022, Chalmers University in Gothenburg and Warsaw University of Technology organized ENHANCE Staff Weeks, held at Chalmers University.

RWTH Aachen invites all master's students in engineering, geophysics, computer science and applied mathematics to participate in its first ENHANCE Blended Intensive Programme on “Physics Informed Machine Learning Applications to Geotechnical Engineering”.  

During the meeting of the Board of Directors and the ENHANCE Steering Committee at the WUT, an agreement on the extension of the strategic cooperation between the Warsaw University of Technology and Technische Universität Berlin was signed.

The meeting of the two main bodies of the ENHANCE Alliance, the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee, which took place at the Warsaw University of Technology on 12-13 May 2022, was attended by delegations of all ENHANCE universities, led by rectors and vice-rectors, and invited guests. The aim of the event was to discuss the strategic directions of ENHANCE development until 2030 in the context of the Strategy for "European Universities" developed by the European Commission.

Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) is host of ENHANCE leadership meeting on 12-13 May 2022. The meeting will gather high-level decision makers from 7 European universities, including the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee, to discuss pathways for the ENHANCE 2030 strategy.

We invite students and administrative staff of the Warsaw University of Technology to create teams and to participate in the ENHANCE Challenge competition organized by the ENHANCE Alliance.

The Ukrainian "language room" was launched on the WEBEX ENHANCE Language Tandems platform on the 8^th April 2022. We would like to invite all academic staff, doctoral students  and students of ENHANCE universities from Ukraine to join the platform.

On March 12-19, 2022, the session of the ATHENS Program was held. The classes were conducted in a face-to-face mode.

Warsaw University of Technology is actively involved in helping WUT students and employees from Ukraine and their families.

The ENHANCE Alliance is pleased to welcome two new associated partners: The National Technical University of Ukraine in Kyiv and Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine). Both institutions will join our highly interdisciplinary network of partners from academia, industry, policy-making and society.  

We have opened a consultation point for WUT students, doctoral students and employees from Ukraine as well as students, PhD students and employees of Ukrainian universities.

On 1 March 2022, a meeting of the Vice-Rector for Students Affairs Professor Robert Zalewski and members of the Crisis Management Team with WUT students from Ukraine was held. It was attended by 82 people.
