On June 22, 2023 and July 4, 2023, Warsaw University of Technology organized two international workshops within the ENHANCE Alliance: "Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education" and "Learning Environments for Alpha Generation".
The inauguration of the 2nd edition of the international summer school 'ENHANCE Students Against Climate Change 2023' organized by Warsaw University of Technology took place on July 4, 2023. Through lectures by invited guests, group discussions and hands-on activities in designing, prototyping and testing their ideas, participants will gain essential knowledge and skills in climate change issues.
The stationary part of the second edition of the Summer School of Geomatics was inaugurated at the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography of the Warsaw University of Technology from June 26-30, 2023.
ENHANCE, the Alliance of European Universities of Technology, of which Warsaw University of Technology is a member, has received €14.4 million in the Erasmus+ "European Universities" program to continue its activities in 2023-2027. The proposal submitted by the alliance in January 2023 received 96 points out of a possible 100.
On 27.06.2023. Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Poland Dr. Nargiz Gurbanova met with the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba. The meeting concerned cooperation in the areas of recruitment and education.
On June 26-28, 2023, the Good Practice Days workshop was held at the Institute of Thermal Technology at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. Thanks to NAWA funding, 9 academics from Ukraine (from Lviv Polytechnic University and Kyiv Polytechnic University) participated. The Center for International Cooperation submitted the application for funding within the framework of the "Solidarity with Ukraine" - European Universities program.
On June 22, by the decision of the IROs Forum (International Relations Offices Forum) Council, Warsaw University of Technology was accepted as an associate member of the IROs Forum network.

Summer School on “Gender and Diversity in Science, Technology and Society" in Berlin will soon be launched. The event is organised by Berlin University of Technology, Centre for Interdisciplinary Gender Research (ZFIG) in cooperation with other ENHANCE universities under the Blended Intensive Programme (Erasmus+)
On June 20, 2023, the results of the "ENHANCE SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE - For a Sustainable and Smart City" competition organized by the ENHANCE consortium, which includes Warsaw University of Technology, were announced.
Within the framework of the Excellence Initiative - Research University project, Warsaw University of Technology has joined the process to obtain an international institutional evaluation Insitutional Evaluation Program with a special focus on research management and the use of research results. The evaluating organization is the European University Association. The process consists of a self-assessment by the university and an evaluation and recommendation by external evaluators.

The 6th ENHANCE Staff week, entitled “ENHANCing talent for all” was hosted by Politecnico di Milano between 13th and 15th June. 21 participants from 8 partner universities, together with two exceptional participants from ENHANCE associate partners National Technical University of Ukraine and Lviv Polytechnic National University, have spent three days working intensively on topics such as valorizing diversity, facing stereotypes, revealing talent. With the support of topic experts and the presence of remarkable testimonials, the participants have reflected on how to identify and remove the barriers that prevent talent from emerging, and how universities can pave the way to valorize diversity and reveal everyone’s talent.
During the ENHANCE workshop on 'Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education', experts in AI in education from ENHANCE universities will deliver short speeches on using new technologies in teaching, providing valuable insights into the current state and prospects of AI tools from the perspective of their institutions.
On behalf of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” we invite school students and students from WUT to participate in the XVI International Open Students Olympiad on Programming named after S.Lebedev and V.Glushkov "KPI-OPEN”, which will be held online from 12th to 14th July 2023.

Five academics from Ukraine (Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University) participated thanks to NAWA funding. The Center for International Cooperation submitted the application for funding within the framework of the "Solidarity with Ukraine" - European Universities program.
On May 15-19, 2023. Warsaw University of Technology organised an international workshop "Smart Sustainable Cities & Communities - Phantom Menace or New Hope?" with the participation of 28 students from 8 universities and 6 countries. The workshop continued the online classes conducted from March 1, 2023, by an international group of experts from ENHANCE partner universities led by Prof. Robert Olszewski from the Department of Geodesy and Cartography at WUT. They were conducted within the framework of the Erasmus+ program (Blended Intensive Programme) in cooperation with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and RWTH in Aachen. Thanks to NAWA funding, 7 students from Ukraine (Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University) participated. Workshop participants will receive 4 ECTS credits.
On 16-18 May 2023, the employees of the Centre for International Cooperation Magdalena Bobryk and Olga Świderska participated in the Staff Week at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). The Estonian university was also visited by representatives of 14 other European universities (including staff from WUT’s partner universities in the ENHANCE Alliance – RWTH Aachen and Universitat Politecnica de Valencia) and from the University of Mohamed Khider in Biskra, Algeria.
On May 15-19, 2023. The Foreign Language Center and the Center for International Cooperation were visited by the Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics at Kyiv Polytechnic University and lecturers of English from the Foreign Language Studio and the Faculty of Linguistics at Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University. Both Ukrainian universities are ENHANCE Network Partners. The visit was organized by the Foreign Language Center in cooperation with the Center for International Cooperation of the Warsaw University of Technology within the framework of the "Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities" project.
From May 2-6, 2023, at the Technical University of Berlin, a group of young people aged 15-18 from Poland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Germany participated in the ENHANCE Future Lab project. It was aimed at creating a vision of the university of the future in the eyes of high school students. In an international team, under the guidance of trainers, discussions were held about the current state and future of higher education. Current challenges of higher education and education systems in different countries were identified. Poland was represented by 3 students from the 17th Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski High School in Warsaw.
On May 15, 2023 Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba, Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, participated in the First Conference of European Universities organized by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System - National Agency for the Erasmus+ Program. Prof. Zaremba, together with other rectors of Polish technical universities, discussed the role of alliances of European universities in this process in the panel "European Universities as a path to an innovative economy".
On 15 May 2023, the second part of the "Smart Sustainable Cities & Communities - Phantom Menace or New Hope?" workshop was inaugurated. Warsaw University of Technology organised the event as part of the Erasmus+ (Blended Intensive Program) in cooperation with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH). Thanks to NAWA funding, it was attended by seven students from Ukraine. The Center for International Cooperation submitted the application for funding within the framework of the "Solidarity with Ukraine" - European Universities program.

On May 9, 2023, an International Conference of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences of Warsaw University of Technology entitled 'Public Administration Challenges in European Countries - Administration and New Technologies' was held in the Small Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology. Thanks to NAWA funding, it was attended by representatives of various academic communities representing Polish and foreign universities.
